The alliance promises to deliver superior value to the audience of discerning, affluent travelers the two companies share. As an initial manifestation of the relationship, later this year Seabourn will begin providing fashionable and functional document portfolios and luggage tags designed and manufactured by Tumi for guests on its three intimate, all-suite Yachts of Seabourn. The custom designed travel accessories, which are manufactured exclusively for Seabourn guests, are crafted in Tumi’s patented Fusion Z nylon fabric accented with fine leather details, to ensure a lifetime of stylish, durable use. Embossed with the Seabourn shield insignia and the distinctive Tumi hallmark, they are sure to draw admiring glances from knowledgeable travelers. In the near future, the two companies plan to launch further exclusive strategic marketing initiatives that will add value for Tumi’s customers and Seabourn’s past guests with savings certificates, joint sweepstakes and value-added gifts and awards. Beginning with their breakthrough garment bag in the 80s, Tumi has created a unique combination of substance and style that is the epitome of smart, casual elegance, according to Richard Meadows, Seabourn’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. The guests can use the Tumi luggage for their homeward journey free of charge and then return the bag to Seabourn. Seabourn will join the select group of exclusive distributors of Tumi products when they become available at the online Seabourn Boutique. The companies will also share hyperlinks from each other’s websites. Seabourn’s association with Tumi is another of the line’s Signature Delights, a continuing series of enhancements and alliances adding elegance and value for guests aboard the 208-guest Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend.
