Handbags, Luggage, Backpacks, And Wallets For Sports And Business Travel – From Granite Gear

Originator of the three-dimensional framesheet design, Granite Gear introduces the new Nimbus Latitude and Stratus Latitude ultralight packs. The new packs build on the lightweight, durable pack designs that won a 2003 Backpacker Magazine Editor's Choice Award. Fusing its 'Access' front panel and 3D framesheet with high-tenacity, lightweight fabrics, Granite Gear's new packs strike a perfect balance between lightweight comfort and backpacking functionality.

The Granite Gear 'Latitude Access' feature gives backpackers an industry-exclusive front panel that zips down from the top and up from the bottom, an internal "hidden lid" and an internal compression system designed to keep pack contents stable. Backpackers can easily access a piece of gear from anywhere in the pack without disturbing other contents.

Built on the 3-D molded Tepex® composite framesheets with weight-saving cutouts, the Latitude packs contour horizontally and vertically to eliminate pressure on lower back muscles. To ensure a proper fit for women and men, the packs feature four women's and men's sizes of ergonomically sculpted belts, plus various sizes of framesheets and shoulder straps. This gives users a pack that effectively moves with natural body motions for a stable, well-cushioned ride.

Both Latitude packs are hydration compatible and feature Dupont Cordura 210 x 210 high-tenacity yarn fabrics for strength and lightness; 70D Siliconized (Sil-Nylon) throughout the main pack body; and a Durastretch center strip access panel.

Granite Gear 'Air Line' Ultralight Packing Systems – Ultralight Done Right. Compared to traditional packing sacks, the four new sacks in the 'Air Line' offering – Air Compressor compression sacks, Air Bag stuff sacks, Air Space zippered sacks, and Air Pockets zippered envelope sacks – feel as light as air.

Made from 1.1-oz. Sil Cordura nylon, Micro Cord and Cordlock with fully finished seams, the nearly translucent fabrics in the Air Line sacks makes identifying contents easy. Granite Gear attention to details include YKK water-resistant zippers, fully finished seams, and durable, die-cut hypalon grommets replacing traditional brass grommets to further shave weight. Air Line ultralight packing systems are packaged in re-usable plastic jars.

Air Pocket – Granite Gear designed the ultralight zippered envelope sacks for stowing books, maps, field guides, toiletries and more. Air Pockets can be easily lashed to side compression straps of packs or used as organizers inside. Water-resistant YKK zippers give users a great seal.

Air Space – More accessible than traditional stuff sacks and featuring a 'bath tub' construction that eliminates possible seam leakage when set on wet ground or boat decks, the Air Space is the ideal packing system for clothes and food. YKK water-resistant zippers provide exceptional form and function.

Wisp Top-Loading Adventure Pack. Whether racing in competition or against daylight, the new one-pound, eight-ounce Granite Gear Wisp pack (retail US$90 CAN$105) is a speed ally. The hydration-compatible, top-loading adventure pack features high-tenacity Dupont fabric, hip-belt stash pockets, and a convenient outer mesh system to easily stow gear, including a helmet. Capacity is 2000 cubic inches.

White Lightnin' Ultralight Tarp. Easy to pitch and a breeze to carry, the new White Lightnin' features scalloped pitch points to more evenly distribute stress throughout the entire tarp surface area.

Cloudcover Ultralight Pack Fly. This new backpack rain fly features tough and ultralight Dupont 30-denier Sil Coat. To fit a variety of packs, from day to extended day packs, Granite Gear offers three sizes: extra small, small and medium for US$25, US$27 and US$29, respectively.
