The Atlantic Luggage Company – A New Partnership

Today, ASTA Marketing Services, Inc. (AMSI), the marketing arm of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), announced a new partnership with Atlantic Luggage. The program will allow agents to earn additional income and provide customers with additional value added services.

"One point that ASTA continues to stress is the need for our members to embrace new areas of revenue," said ASTA Treasurer and AMSI President Eric C. Ardolino. "This new retail program provides not only strong commissions to agents, but it adds value to the service agents provide their clients. Today's consumer is busier than ever before, and the more service agents can provide in one-stop, the more likely those clients are to keep coming back."

ASTA Members will be able to market three of Atlantic's most popular luggage lines (Eternity II, Infinity III, and Professional) to their customers at retail prices ranging from $49.99-$249.99. Each line provides great value and includes a variety of options. Additionally, Atlantic representatives are available to help agents choose which line and pieces are most appropriate for particular clientele.

Atlantic is celebrating its 80th year in business and the company is consistently one of the top brands in virtually every major department store chain in the country. As part of the ASTA partnership, Atlantic will soon feature the ASTA logo and 800 number for ASTA agency referrals on luggage sold through these stores.

As part of the partnership, ASTA and Atlantic have developed two sales programs for members to take advantage of:

1. ASTA/Atlantic Re-Seller Program Members can use catalogs or display luggage to market to clients. Through the re-seller program, purchases are shipped directly to customers within three business days. Best of all, agents receive a 10% commission on every piece sold. For the popular Infinity III five piece set, that is over $80.

2. ASTA/Atlantic Retailer Program Members purchase inventory at low wholesale prices and set the retail price. Most luggage retailers mark-up products 50% which yields $183 profit on the Infinity III five piece set.

The ASTA/Atlantic partnership presents a wonderful opportunity to not only add value to an agent's services, but it is a great way to increase agency revenue. Members interested in signing up or receiving additional information, should call Atlantic.
